Construction site times are over, thank divine entity of your choice, and I can store away my tools. There may be the odd loose screw still lying around somewhere. If you find one, please let me know!
Now, why go through all the trouble and move the blog from A to B? One one hand, because WordPress is more fun than Blogspot. Looks better, too. Like, more professional and stuff. At least in my opinion. And I thought it was about time to look at least semi-professional. Here’s where we reach the other hand. You see, my horoscope told me a few days ago that I was prone to expecting too much and building castles in the air. Oops.
No, I don’t believe in horoscopes. But this one had a point. I haven’t been exactly lazy these past months, ever since I first published Ratpaths. I mean, hey, I published a novella, I’m almost done with the sequel, I’m 8k words into a new book, I’ll feature in an anthology shortly, I’ve helped with beta-reading and editing, wait, let me count, uh, too many books, but to be honest, when it comes to marketing I’m a slacker. Complete, utter slacker.
So here’s my belated New Year resolution: this is gonna change. I’ll at least pretend to make an effort from now on, and who knows, I might even sell some of the stuff I’ve written. Miracles happen, or so I’ve been told. Which means I’ll try to take this all seriously now – not too much, never worry – and the result may even happen to be interesting to those of you who happen to come across my blog. I’ll still feature great Indie books and authors (contact me, I don’t bite much), and I’ll do my best to dig up some content which – unlike this lengthy introduction – is actually worth reading.
That’s it, have fun.
