Rats, rats, more rats

I’m mostly happy to announce that A Rat for a Rat, the sequel to Ratpaths, is out and available.

I say mostly, because I’m also, quite frankly, scared out of my wits. When I released Ratpaths, I was pretty much convinced I had written a good book, but basically I didn’t care much what people would think about it. That has changed.

I’m not saying the sequel isn’t a good book. It is, promise, cross my heart, don’t miss it, best thing since sliced bread etc.

But now I care.

After getting praise for the first part of the Tales of Istonnia series, I now am officially afraid of what people might say about the second. Suddenly, there’s this huge boulder weighing on me, called Readers’ Expectations. Ugh. If you have liked the first part, does that mean you will like the second? Will you think, uh, her style is different, I don’t like the new characters, and really, compared to the first one…I suppose you get the picture. I’m a babbling ball of nerves, and that probably won’t change till the first reviews come in. So please: once you’ve read it, give me your thoughts. Don’t hold back. Hate it? Tell me. Love it? Tell me.ARfaR_quote_sw

Hope you’ll enjoy reading as much as I enjoyed writing.

About angelikarust

My name is Angelika Rust. I was born in Vienna in 1977. These days, I live in Germany, with my husband, two children, a despotic couple of cats and a hyperactive dog. After having tried almost every possible job from pizza delivery girl to HR consultant, I now make a living knowing English. No, I haven’t yet figured out what I want to be when I grow up, whenever that may be. In the meantime, I write the occasional book.
