Ferry Haiku
(Yvonne Marjot)
My prosaic morning
To the supermarket
Past Lismore lighthouse.
Oban afternoon:
Sapphirine sun-flecked water;
Three ferries dancing.
Up the Sound of Mull:
Moon jellies churned in the wake;
Seven porpoises.
In the rising tide,
Cormorants with feet awash;
Dancing on the spot.
Balanced impossibly
On the substanceless sea:
Hidden rock with seal.
