Meet M.J. Fahy!

M.J. Fahy writes children’s books of the wonderfully charming variety, the kind that don’t come in swinging the moral hammer and try to sermonize the hell out of the poor kids, but instead are simply being written with the intention of telling a story.

I recently picked up her book ‘The Magpie King’, and the entire time while reading it couldn’t help thinking, Dianna Wynne Jones would have liked it. And, it has magpies. And fairies. And talking animals. And…ah, let her tell you. Here’s my interview with her, and here’s my review of her book.

About angelikarust

My name is Angelika Rust. I was born in Vienna in 1977. These days, I live in Germany, with my husband, two children, a despotic couple of cats and a hyperactive dog. After having tried almost every possible job from pizza delivery girl to HR consultant, I now make a living knowing English. No, I haven’t yet figured out what I want to be when I grow up, whenever that may be. In the meantime, I write the occasional book.
