Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes

If you take a quick look at the top of this page, you might realize that something has changed…

Yes. I’ve changed two of my book covers.

Over the course of the next few months, I’m going to change them ALL. Well, maybe not Alice. We’ll see. Thing is, I have people advising me now, professional kind of people. They still let me do the designing thingy myself, but they don’t stop coming after me until I get it right. Which is totally annoying, but very helpful. Plus, I like a good challenge, and I have to say, I’m very pleased with the results.

Now, of course, I have to spend hours uploading the new covers and changing the book trailers and all that… *sigh* So boring…

Anyway, there’s more that’s changing. Over the next months, I’m also phasing out of Kindle Select. Means that sooner or later, you won’t be able to get my books via Kindle Unlimited, and I won’t be able to offer free days anymore. But that’s fine, because the reason I’m doing this is, I’m putting them all up on Open Books. coverThat’s a platform where you can find indie authors, and where you can download all their books for free, and if you like them, leave a review and pay the author what you think their book is worth. I love the concept, and as far as I can already judge, it’s working, too. Also, the editors and designers there are the professional kind of people I mentioned earlier. Very diligent, very sweet, and adorably patient with a clumsy bumble-through like me.

Btw., this doesn’t mean you won’t be able to get my books on Amazon at all anymore. They’ll still be there, especially since I’m not giving up my paperbacks, and Open Books is for e-books only. You Used to Hurry Home is already there, and The Girl on the Red Pillow will be after 5th December. I’ll keep you updated as regards the rest.

My name is Angelika Rust. I was born in Vienna in 1977. These days, I live in Germany, with my husband, two children, a despotic couple of cats and a hyperactive dog. After having tried almost every possible job from pizza delivery girl to HR consultant, I now make a living knowing English. No, I haven’t yet figured out what I want to be when I grow up, whenever that may be. In the meantime, I write the occasional book.
